Drink now – 2015
The entry level 2004 Atauta comes from 60- to 150-year-old, biodynamically farmed, mostly ungrafted Tempranillo bush vines. The wine is aged in 100% French oak of which 20% is new. Dark ruby/purple in color, it has an expressive nose of spice box, coffee, black cherry and blackberry. Made in a racy style, with good acidity, this wine admirably combines ripe, sweet fruit with elegance. Drink it over the next 6-8 years. Kudos to Dominio Atauta!

Drink now – 2012
A plush, modern red, with sweet blackberry and cassis flavors accented with chocolate and coffee. The tannins are ripe but well-integrated, and the acidity is lively. Drink now through 2012. 10,000 cases made.
