The heady, ripe and earthy 2017 La Pequeñita Tinto Macerado fermented partially crushed in two old clay tinajas (amphorae) with indigenous yeasts and no correction. It was kept with the skins for three months after a very slow fermentation that lasted four weeks, and it matured in a used oak barrel for six months. It reveals notes of soya sauce and violets, somehow decadent and unusual. It’s juicy and round, full-bodied and with pungent flavors. It finishes dry and leaves a chalky sensation that is also quite tasty. 798 bottles were filled in July 2018.
