Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune. The Echézeaux 2011 from Domaine de Perdrix has a fine bouquet with crushed strawberry, Morello cherry and minerals on the nose, all with commendable focus and delineation. The oak here is adroitly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, well-judged acidity, fleshy red cherry and raspberry fruit and a refined finish with appreciable substance.
