The 2018 Beaune Grèves 1er Cru is de-stemmed and matured in 25% new oak. It has an outgoing, ripe bouquet of vibrant red fruit laced with blood orange and tangerine notes, turning more floral with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and good acidity. A little more finessed than the Clos de la Féguine, leading to a saline finish that shows just a little coarseness at the moment.
